Velociraptor 1
It wasn’t until I finished the model in this image and, in turn, this image itself, that I felt I had made a truly good Velociraptor. Pictured here is a Velociraptor mongoliensis and its appearance in general and its feathering in specific are based off Gregory Paul’s many illustrations of this animal. His work has been a profound influence on me and I felt it important that as soon as I was able to create a 3D model with feathers that I make this homage to the master.
Also of note in this illustration is the skull on the floor. Even though it may be hard to make out, the skull is a modified version of my T rex skull.
